Future by Lund profiles T-Meeting’s mission to make communication accessible

Future by Lund has welcomed T-Meeting as a member with a profile of founders Max and Faruk Tairi. Their story begins with language interpretation and develops into a long-standing commitment to helping people communicate through technology.

The profile follows that work through practical examples. With TERA, a person who cannot hear a conversation can read it as text, while someone who cannot speak can have their written words spoken aloud. Translation adds another way to connect people who would otherwise face a barrier during a call.

What connects these tools is greater independence in everyday life. Making a call, following a conversation, or getting help should be possible in a way that works for the person using the technology.

That purpose also runs through EaseAccess24, T-Meeting’s subsidiary focused on digital accessibility. The article introduces our work helping organisations identify and address barriers on websites and digital services, alongside T-Meeting’s communication tools and wearable camera development.

For us, this is valuable context for the work we do today. Web accessibility belongs to a wider effort to make information and communication available to more people.
